Stroke Smooth With Desire to Win

Practice stroking with conviction, stroke with desire and stroke mentally tough…we miss sometimes, not because of faulty vision…we miss because of a faulty stroke.

When you have sighted your ghost ball and you are ready to stroke your best shot…Focus and deliver your beautiful stroke as straight and solid as you can, with positive thoughts in your mind…On each and every stroke, say: I will stroke this shot with a smooth backstroke and when I start my forward stroke it will be straight, it will be smooth and it will be accurate. I will stroke this shot perfect and I will make this shot…Stroke your shot with desire…Desire to ROLL the CUE BALL and WIN.

Stroke your Best Shot, Be Fearless, no pressure…see your ghost ball on the object ball…see the object ball rolling to the pocket…see the cue ball rolling to the target on the object ball. See the cue ball rolling into position. Stroke and Freeze after the final stroke…feel good that you have sighted your ghost ball, you have aimed your cue tip at the center of the cue ball, you have taken a smooth backstroke, and your forward stroke is perfect. Execute 15 minutes a day of serious practice, thinking of nothing but visualizing cue ball ghost balls on object balls and Stroking Perfect.

Mentally see yourself stroking at the tournament, see yourself moving around the table, with spectators watching. See yourself sighting the ghost ball, aligning with the cue ball and descending into stance. Sight the cue ball edges as razors,  feel solid and balanced over the cue, free to Stroke Smoothly.

Stroke, feeling the sensation of the cue sliding across your bridge hand fingers. Feel the connection, the sensation of the cue stick sliding on the bridge hand thumb and feel the weight of cue stick cradled in your hand with grip hand finger tip control.

Your Final Stroke is a Smooth Backstroke with Eyes Zoomed on the Target.

The Brunswick Manufacturing Company - Johnny Kling 9 foot Table.

Johnny Kling was born in Kansas City and played catcher for the Chicago Orphans, which later became the Chicago Cubs. Kling played with double-play trio and Hall of Famers Joe Tinker, Johnny Evans, and Frank Chance. From 1906-1910, the Cubs won 4 National League Pennants and 2 World Series Titles. Base stealing champion, Ty Cobb, was never able to steal a base against Kling. Kling was attributed as one of the main reasons for the Cubs’ success in the early 20th Century.

As well as baseball, Johnny Kling had a passion for pool. In 1908, after winning the World Series, he went on to win the World Pocket Billiard Championship. He became the only person to win both a World Series and a Billiard Championship. Kling was also part owner of a pool room with Bernie Allen, a former Major League Baseball player and a Purdue Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Famer. For their pool room, Johnny designed the “Kling” table along with Brunswick Manufacturing in 1916.

Focus on the Table - Visions of Shot Making

Look at the Following Table, Visualize and Rehearse That You are in a Game Winning Match. Pretend that you are Standing at this Table. Mentally Survey the Table as You Prepare to Descend into Your Stance.

The Game is Straight Pool or 14.1  It's Your Shot. I'd Like You to Mentally See Yourself Pocketing the Remaining Balls and Getting Position for the Next Shot. Run the Table Mentally and Leave a Break Shot. So that You Can Continue your Run into the Next Rack. Can You Run the Table Here and Leave a Break Shot?
I Teach The Shot Makers Secret: Vision of Rolling Balls.

Become a Shot Maker

Your Opponent Just Broke the Balls to Open This 8 Ball Game, Leaving You This Open Table. The 8 Ball Stops Near the Top Corner Right, Near the Rail.  While Standing at the Table, Do You Choose Solids or Stripes? What's Your Next Shot? While Standing Tall, At This Moment, Breathe Deep, Visualize, Focus on the Table and See Yourself Executing Good Shot Making Strokes En-route to the 8-Ball. Be Confident to Pocket the 8 Ball. Can You Vision the Rolls for the Winning Shot? If You Can Do This Without Thoughts Drifting, and Mind Wandering, Good! If Not, I Can Assist You to Learn How.

Descending into Your Solid Stance

The Following Table Layout Below is the Same as the one Above, Only now You Looking at it from a Lower View. Preparing to Descend into to Your Rock Solid Stance.

As You Gracefully, Carefully Assume the Shooting Position You are Still Focused on the Table With Strong Determination to Take Your Best Stroke. Visualize These Shots Now.
